Dean McDermott is standing up for his wife Tori Spelling.
On Wednesday, Spelling, 45, shared a slideshow of photos of her children eating Little Bites muffins.
“This mom of 5 finds snack time a balancing act between pleasing my kiddos and feeling good as a parent about what I’m feeding them,” Spelling wrote.
“They are easy and mess free for little hands and great on the go!” Spelling added.
McDermott, 52, and Spelling share five kids — Stella, 10, Hattie, 7, Liam, 12, Finn, 6, and Beau, 2.
The post prompted a number of Spelling’s followers to mom-shame her for feeding her kids, an “unhealthy” snack.
“What you eat and feed your kids is up to you but please don’t promote this is as a healthy option. Sweets with refined sugar and no nutritional value for kids and then meal replacements and appetite suppression for adults. There’s nothing healthy about this diet,” one user wrote.

After a plethora of other hurtful comments flooded Spelling’s post, McDermott took matters into his own hands.
“Hey everybody I am sick and tired of everybody taking a shot at my wife Tori Spelling. Just because she’s a celebrity they think they can say and do whatever they want,” McDermott said in a video shared on Instagram Friday.
“She posted about a snack, it’s a snack people. Haven’t we given our kids a snack before? Cakes, cookies whatever. It’s a snack.”
“She’s a great mom. We’re great parents. Our kids eat healthy. They eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, and occasionally they have a snack. So can we get over ourselves?”

McDermott then specifically addressed the parents who spoke out against Spelling.
“Listen, to all you parents out there who think you are holier-than-thou, let he who is without sin cast the first stone okay?”
“It’s a snack people, get over it,” McDermott added.
This isn’t the first time McDermott has had to defend his family.
Back in January, McDermott found himself “horrified and disgusted” after commenters criticized his and Spelling’s kids on Instagram, accusing the parents of letting them get overweight and questioning their clothing choices.
Spelling shared a sweet photo of the whole family at a screening of A Dog’s Way Home. The comments quickly turned negative, with people asking, “why do you let your kids get so fat?” and saying they look “terrible.”
McDermott responded with a furious message.

“I am absolutely horrified and disgusted by the comments being left about my children,” he said. “Body shaming and bullying my children??!! What is wrong with you people??!!”
McDermott said that his kids are going through “different growth stages” and that it’s cruel to comment on their sizes.
“As far as saying my children are overweight, well that’s just mean and uncalled for,” he said. “They’re going through different growth phases, and even if our children are on the bigger side. Who cares. They’re happy and healthy and I’m sorry they don’t look like skinny supermodels. People come in all shapes and sizes. So who are you to judge.”
