Paris Jackson responded to “pathetic” reports that she is in a downward spiral with a heated Twitter thread that slammed assumptions about her personal life based off of her social media habits.
The model, 20, first explained that recent photographs of her and her boyfriend on the streets of New Orleans that appear to show them fighting were not all that they appear to be.
“Me and my bf re-enacted ‘the californians’ from SNL while we were in nola purely for the entertainment of our friends, and paps happened to be taking pictures of it all and…. y’all it looks like a full on break-up scene in a sad drama movie omg,” she wrote Thursday.

Jackson then said she recently read reports claiming she was in a “downward spiral” — and vehemently denied it.
“Damn i’m just now catching wind of these downward spiral articles.. this is like, what ? the 7th time y’all have accused me of this ? the 3rd in the past month? n yet not one OD from all the ‘drugs’ y’all accuse me of doing or any hospitalizations… 7… but who’s counting right…,” she wrote.

Continued Jackson, “Like.. no please.. give it up.. there are so many more interesting things to write about. and actions speak louder than words. so if my actions prove your words wrong, why keep trying to pull this s—? it’s a lil pathetic. i’ll pray for y’all.”
Jackson followed the tweets by encouraging anyone weighing in on her life to, “SMOKE SOME WEED AND MELLOW OUT.”
Her thread did not end there, though. After a fan responded and asked whether she would trade her wealth for “freedom from disgusting press,” Jackson answered that she would not sit by as her family name was smeared.
“I have the same moral compass as my father, but not the level of patience. i’ll fight for love n peace in the same way, but i am more aggressively driven,” she wrote. “i don’t sit by idly when i see injustices happen, especially when they’re directed towards me or my family. f— that noise.”
Eventually, Jackson’s tweets grew sarcastic as she rattled off a list of assumptions potentially printed about her in the press.
“I smoke weed on my story ONE time and all of a sudden i’m a junkie meth alcoholic party raver that’s also secretly married and pregnant and may or may not have a penis,” she wrote. “I have a job. and dogs. and a bedtime. go f— yourself.”

Jackson added that she is “down for freedom of speech” and “totally game for respect of all opinions,” but does not support “lying, especially on a mass scale.”
“Where. is. your. honor????????” she wrote. “Do you even know the meaning of the word.”
Meanwhile, the star also weighed in, again, on Leaving Neverland, the HBO documentary chronicling Wade Robson and James Safechuck’s claims that her father Michael Jackson sexually molested them when they were children. (The Jackson estate has repeatedly denied the allegations.)

Paris’s message came in response to a fan who speculated that tabloids were targeting her as a way of punishing her for not speaking publicly about the documentary.
“There’s nothing i can say that hasn’t already been said in regards to defense. taj is doing a perfect job on his own. and i support him. but that’s not my role,” she wrote. “I’m just tryna get everyone to chill out and go with the flow, be mellow and think about the bigger picture. that’s me.”

The tweet comes weeks after she appeared to refer to Leaving Neverland as “tabloids and lies.”
Michael’s estate has repeatedly denied the allegations in the film, and a source previously told PEOPLE that Jackson has not watched the documentary.
She alluded to Leaving Neverland in a series of tweets that came in response to reports that she was worried about how the film and allegations against her father would affect her career.
“I actually haven’t made any statements yet, especially regarding how it affects my work life. you guys are reaching a bit. at least this wasn’t a disgusting and attacking article though,” Paris said in a now-deleted tweet.
She then added a tweet that read, “ya’ll take my life more seriously than I do.”
Jackson continued, “I know injustices are frustrating and it’s easy to get worked up. but reacting with a calm mind usually is more logical than acting out of rage and also…. it feels better to mellow out.”
When a fan responded to that tweet writing, “The bigger picture is your father’s legacy ruined and his name smeared forever but whatever though,” Jackson responded, saying “so….. not love and peace and trying to carry that message out? tabloids and lies are the bigger picture? i’ll pray for you.”

Jackson previously condemned the allegations against her father in a 2017 Rolling Stone interview, in which she said her dad would “cry to me at night.”
“Picture your parent crying to you about the world hating him for something he didn’t do,” she told the magazine. “And for me, he was the only thing that mattered. To see my entire world in pain, I started to hate the world because of what they were doing to him. I’m like, ‘How can people be so mean?’”
The Jackson estate slammed Leaving Neverland in January as “yet another lurid production in an outrageous and pathetic attempt to exploit and cash in on Michael Jackson.”

In late February, two co-executors of the Jackson estate and Optimum Productions sued HBO and its parent company, Time Warner, for $100 million, claiming that airing the two-part film would violate a non-disparagement clause, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. “Michael Jackson is innocent. Period,” the lawsuit says in part.
In a statement obtained by PEOPLE, HBO responded: “Despite the desperate lengths taken to undermine the film, our plans remain unchanged. HBO will move forward with the airing of Leaving Neverland. … This will allow everyone the opportunity to assess the film and the claims in it for themselves.”
