Sonam Kapoor’s Holi-Ready Red Carpet Look Is All You Need To See Today!

As we know, neon green is quickly becoming one of the IT colours of the year. Celebrities, bloggers, influencers and stylists around the world are incorporating it into OOTDs through clothes, bags, shoes, sunglasses and even nails! Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is the newest one to add to this trend—and let’s be honest, is it even a trend until Sonam wears it? I think not. Styled by her sister, and ace celebrity stylist, Rhea Kapoor, Sonam was seen in a billowy neon green and pink gown for the Hello! Hall Of Fame awards. From the outfit to her makeup and even the shoot she did for this look—all of it screamed Holi-ready. Every detail about her look was unlike anything I’ve seen before, and I’m sure you’ll love it just as much as I do. Let’s go!

The Outfit

The unusual yet trendy colour combination of this Celia Kritharioti creation is what made me stop scrolling on my feed the moment I saw this photo. Rhea paired jewels from Zoya that included a pair of earrings and a bracelet from Mahesh Notandass, which ensured full focus on the gown.

The Beauty Look

Since the colours and silhouette of this gown were quite striking, we didn’t expect the makeup to be just as bold—but it was! Celebrity makeup artist Aarti Nayar complemented this bright and bold gown with an equally bright and bold beauty look.

She used hues of yellow, pink, purple and blue to create a unicorn-esque feel for Sonam’s eyes and kept her lips and face muted—so much so that I didn’t even notice a hint of highlighter. This beauty look stood out to me more than anything else. Yup, even more than the neon in her gown.

With an eyeshadow look so statement-making, you gotsta make sure that everything else is simple, so celebrity hairstylist Hiral Bhatia gave her a clean, high bun to make sure all eyes were on Sonam’s eyes.

The Shoot

TBVH, I’m still staring at photos of Sonam Kapoor’s look from last night because it was so refreshing, different and trendy all at once. There was an ideal balance of boldness and basics in this OOTN which one can’t compare to anyone else—which is one of the many reasons why I love her red carpet looks.
