Ekta Kapoor‘s reprised version of her own superhit TV show Kasautii Zindagii Kay has been the talk of the town ever since it’s inception. From the casting of the main characters to every new promo, KZK has been creating all sorts of buzz. But from the past few weeks, the new Komolika aka Hina Khan has been in the news a little too often due to her exit from the TV soap. While the actress is leaving only because of her upcoming Bollywood debut, there have been rumours that an added reason might be her relationship with her co-star and on-screen sautan Erica Fernandes. Rumours around the internet suggested that all was not well between the two actors and in fact that the two ladies have not been on talking terms. Erica finally opened up about the rumours to Telly Chakkar and clarified that it’s true that they’re not friends but they’re great co-stars.
She said,
Yes, we aren’t friends, and we don’t even shoot together that often, but that doesn’t mean we don’t get along well and share any bad blood. I have a good bond with the other cast members as we have been shooting together from day one. Hina and I are not friends but good co-stars. There is no reason that we wouldn’t like each other.
Earlier, even Hina had taken to call such rumours stupid and said that Erica was a sweet a girl and they would even become great friends if they would spend some time together but unfortunately that won’t be happening because of her exit from the show.
We’re so glad to see that there is no bad blood between the two leading ladies. I think it’s time we understand that two actresses can exist without being friends or being at each other’s throats.
