A lot of has been said and written about the equation that Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif share. Just because of the fact that they share a common ex boyfriend, they are always pitted against each other. Recently, all the rumours of this discomfort were put to bed when Katrina showed up at Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s wedding reception ceremony. In an interview with a leading daily, Katrina spoke about her relation with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh and her role in Bharat.
In an interview, Katrina was asked about her equation with Ranveer, to which she responded by saying, “He is such a darling!” On attending the wedding reception, the actor said, “Life can get a little heavy at times and holding on to grudges makes the burden heavier. If you can let go of the past, let it go. I have, because I want friends around me...I want happiness and positivity.”
Talking about her role in Bharat, Katrina said, “The best thing about my friendship with Ali is that we don't hold each other to account for anything. It's not as if either of us feels bad if we choose to work with someone else so there's never the burden of expectancy. I know he will come to me if he has something interesting. This time it was somewhat different because Priyanka had been signed for the role earlier. But this is Ali's best script so far and Kumud's character was just right for the person I am today. So, I grabbed the opportunity and immersed myself into the role. I had two months to prep and I used every minute of it. Bharat has been one of my most inspiring experiences at work.”
Katrina Kaif will next star in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat. The film stars Salman Khan as the titular character in the film. Bharat is the Hindi remake of the Korean film Ode To My Father, The film is all set to hit the screens on 5 June 2019.
