Former Sublime bassist Eric Wilson, who’s now a member of the band Sublime with Rome, was injured earlier this week in an ATV accident.
According to TMZ, Wilson’s manager said that the musician sustained the injury on his avocado ranch in California on Thursday. While working on the ranch, Wilson’s ATV rolled over him, which resulted in the musician breaking his arm and four ribs.
Following his injury, Wilson was taken to a hospital near San Diego, where he underwent surgery, the outlet reported.
Wilson’s manager tells PEOPLE that the musician is still in the hospital. Wilson is expected to be released early next week, TMZ reported.
Sharing an update with fans, Sublime with Rome’s official Twitter page offered an update on Wilson’s health on Saturday.
“Eric says thanks for the well wishes! He’s doing much better,” the band’s tweet read. “F— avocados, man. They’ll get you every time! #donttrythisathomekids.”

Sublime was formed in 1988 by Wilson, singer and guitarist Bradley Nowell and drummer Bud Gaugh.
The ska band released their final studio album in 1997 — which featured hits “Santeria” and “What I Got” — after Nowell fatally overdosed on heroin.
Wilson and Gaugh went on to reform the band in 2009, adding guitarist Rome Ramirez to the lineup. The following year, they changed the name of the band to Sublime with Rome.

According to the band’s website, they’re currently scheduled to play a concert in Augusta, Georgia, on Wednesday.
Sublime with Rome will be kicking off their cross-country Blessings Tour in June.
