From being the bad guy in Badlapur, playing the perfect lover in Badrinath ki Dulhania and finally exploring the grey areas of a character in Kalank, there is nothing Varun Dhawan can’t pull off on screen. He is currently working Remo D’Souza’s Street Dancer that is being shot in London. After Street Dancer, Varun is going to start prepping up for his third collaboration with father David Dhawan after Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2. The two will be working together in the remake of Coolie No. 1 which starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor.

Talking about the film and the inevitable comparisons, Varun said, “It is not a remake. The film is an adaptation, while the screenplay remains the same. We are changing a lot of things, and it will be different from the original. I have not seen such a wholesome entertainer in the last 15 years; so, I am doing it because I loved the screenplay. And being directed by dad is always great. I am aware that there will be comparisons, that is why I have taken it up.”

We would love to see Varun step into Govinda’s shoes for the film while Sara Ali Khan will be playing Karisma Kapoor’s character in Coolie No. 1
