Ishaan Khatter made his Bollywood debut with Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds and was later seen opposite Janhvi Kapoor in Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak. While it still may be too early to judge, it sure seems like we have another superstar in the making. Post the release of Dhadak, there’s been no announcement of Ishaan’s next project. However, it looks like the young gun has given his nod to Vishal Bhardwaj’s web series.
The web series is said to be an adaptation of Salman Rushdie’s novel Midnight’s Children. Some of his elder brother Shahid Kapoor’s best work has come with Vishal Bhardwaj. Since Ishaan has previously admitted that he does consult his brother for career choices, it may be possible that Shahid had a say in it. There are also rumours doing rounds that Ishaan has been approached by Kedarnath director Abhishek Kapoor’s next project based on the Pulwama attacks.
While it is interesting to see Ishaan venture into the web world so soon, we’ll wait for makers to announce it officially before getting all excited for this project.
