In the last week of February, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas flew down to India to celebrate the former’s brother’s wedding being fixed. Priyanka also posted pictures wishing the couple, Siddharth Chopra and Ishitta Kumar on Instagram from their roka ceremony. Later, reports suggested that their wedding date has been fixed for the last week of April and Priyanka too flew back to India from New York around the same time.
But speculations started when she returned to New York without any news of the wedding. Rumour went around that the wedding had been postponed because of the bride’s ill health and a surgery she underwent. What added fuel to the fire was Ishitta Kumar suddenly deleted all the pictures from the roka from her Instagram and this lead to rumours of the wedding being called off.
Amidst all the guess work, mother Madhu Chopra came to rescue and revealed that the wedding has officially been called off. Not saying much, she told a leading digital portal, "They (Siddharth and Ishitta) have mutually called it off.”
With the whole family is extremely tight-lipped about it and Priyanka back in NYC where she attended brother-in-law Joe Jonas’ Las Vegas wedding to Sophie Turner, there is no information on what caused the wedding to be called off.
