Alia Bhatt and Tiger Shroff are all geared up to make the audience groove and sing along as they release the Hook Up Song from Student of the Year 2 today. Alia and Tiger will be seen together for the first time in a song and that's made the buzz around the film soar high. Insiders claim that the duo's chemistry is unbeatable in the song.
Interestingly, Alia’s Hook Up Song has a connection with a hit song featuring her beau, Ranbir Kapoor. Reportedly, according to director Punit Malhotra, the Hook Up Song from SOTY 2 has taken a cue from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’s Break Up song starring Ranbir and Anushka Sharma. He told a daily that they picked up the idea from there and that’s how the Hook Up song emerged.
He also shared that when he spoke to Alia, she assured him that she’d rehearse for the song non-stop even when she was juggling between two films at that time. Punit further revealed that the thought was getting one of the ex-students back in SOTY 2 and they started building on it.
The song is written by Kumaar and composed by Vishal-Shekar. While SOTY 2’s two songs The Jawaani Song and Mumbai Dilli Di Kudiyaan are already out, the film is scheduled to release on May 10 and stars Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria in the lead.
