Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 has shifted its release date several times so far. The film was supposed to hit the screens in November last year but after the director, Vikas Bahl’s name got embroiled in the #MeToo controversy, it was rescheduled to release in January.
Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi was announced to release on the same date in January. However, the clash was averted then and the film was announced to release on July 26. And then Ekta Kapoor decided to come out with Mental Hai Kya on the same day as Super 30.
But then Hrithik sent out a statement confirming that he’s shifting his film from the said date. Little did Ekta know that Sajid Nadiadwala and Hrithik will instead clash with her on another pet project of hers, Jabariya Jodi. After a lot of commotion, Balaji's film starring Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra also got postponed from its earlier May date.
Now, it seems the romcom that revolves around groom kidnapping will again change its dates. Reportedly, Ekta and Hrithik are friends. While Hrithik had decided to shift his film giving Ekta a proper release for Mental Hai Kya and avoid all controversies, now, Ekta is also contemplating on returning the favour by avoiding a clash between Jabariya Jodi and Super 30.
Apparently, she will be holding a meeting and taking a call on the new release date of her film Jabariya Jodi. She understands that clashing would mean a loss for both films, and she doesn't want it. Jabariya is a film that is important for everyone involved.
We hope they solve this date puzzle smoothly.
