After Priyanka Chopra and Nick’s grand destination wedding in November, the Chopra family had one more reason to rejoice. Priyanka Chopra had flown down with hubby Nick in February end for brother Siddharth Chopra’s roka ceremony with Ishitta Kumar. The whole family congratulated and celebrated the union and fixed end of April as the time for their wedding.
Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, the wedding has now been officially called off. First signs showed when Priyanka left from India without the wedding actually taking place and then when the bride-to-be Ishitta deleted all the wedding related posts from her Instagram, the buzz got stronger. Madhu Chopra, today confirmed that the wedding is off and it was a mutual decision by the couple.
Reporting on the matter, a leading online portal stated that this is not the first time Siddharth Chopra’s wedding has been called off. In 2015, he was to marry his girlfriend Kanika Mathur in Goa, but it was called off the very last minute. Later, sources close to the family said, “Siddharth wants to concentrate on his career and his new venture (a pub-lounge in Pune). Pushing it ahead was a big decision for both the families. Priyanka is also not in the country at the moment and the wedding cannot take place without her.
