Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar’s next is Bala directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan. But the project has landed in some legal trouble. An aspiring director Kamal Kant Chandra has filed a case of cheating and breach of trust against the team of Bala including Ayushmann Khurrna. The assistant director has claimed that team Bala has stolen the plot of a story on a prematurely balding man from one of his ideas. While the film’s shooting has begun and the second schedule is underway, Chandra told the leading portal, "It's wrong to start shooting before the court has given its verdict. At the last hearing, they said that they would take time to develop the script. How did they start shooting in 15 days? This means they gave a misleading picture to the court."
While Ayushmann's legal team said, "What has been communicated to you is a malafide distortion of actual facts specially with regard to the proceedings of 9th April 2019. In fact, Mr. Chandra also moved the Bombay High court in vacation (May 29) in this regard and was not granted any relief. In any event as the matter is sub-judice and since the next date of hearing is June 10, 2019 we are are not commenting any further. In any event our script is original and we will show that to the court when the matter comes up." Well, we hope team Bala steers clear of this trouble soon.
