The box-office is always buzzing with good numbers during the festive last week of the year. Celebrities lock dates around these holidays way in advance to ensure good footfall. Making the most of this and delivering a crackling story, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Good Newwz is making a splash at the box-office in its opening weekend.
After opening with Rs. 17.56 crores on Friday, the film made another Rs. 21.78 crores on Saturday to bring its two day total to Rs. 39.34 crores. Going by its popularity in the multiplexes, the film is expected to have an easy Rs. 65 crores +/- weekend.
Also starring Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara advani, Good Newwz tells the story of two families who are caught up in a sperm mix-up during IVF. What unfolds is a roller coaster ride of emotions, laughter and good acting with this massy cast ensemble.
