Andhadhun was not just a critically acclaimed film, but minted money at box-office a well.
After a wonderful run at the Indian box-office, the film released in China and has already received a humongous response there, crossing Rs.300 crores at the Chinese box-office.
Tabu’s performance in this Sriram Raghavan’s directorial was much talked about. She was seen in a negative role in the film and she nailed her character. As Tabu spoke to a daily about Andhadhun’s success, she shared that by doing such films as an actor, she feels a huge sense of validation for her as well as for the cinema that she’s a part of.
She remembered the time when she was watching Andhadhun along with her director Sriram at a theatre which had a mix of Indian as well as Western audiences sharing how they were gasping, shrieking and even laughing at some scenes in the film. She said that as an artiste she feels gratified when her work receives global appreciation. This kind of acceptance opens many doors, and it is not just restricted to work, she let out in her interview.
Presently, Tabu is busy promoting her upcoming film, De De Pyaar De along with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.
