Divas like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor are now regular names at this global celebration in the French Riviera. Adding to the glamour last year, Kangana Ranaut debuted at the international red carpet and dropped some serious fashion bomb with her quirky looks. Her disco silver jumpsuit, a beautiful long train down and the retro black saree, all made for brilliant looks last year.
This year again, Kangana is all set and ready to slay at the Cannes red carpet with her innate sense of style and out-of-the-box sartorial choices. Talking of her look this year, Kangana revealed that she will be seen in a hand woven saree by Falguni and Shane Peacock this year. Talking of the theme, Live Victoriously, Kangana elaborated, “The clothes I wear will have drama. At the same time as an Indian actor, I have the responsibility of endorsing our weavers, and wearing outfits that reflect our rich heritage. My stylist Ami Patel and I have been brainstorming for weeks. We, along with Falguni and Shane Peacock, are designing a unique saree. The idea is to bring the forgotten weaves to the fore so that the world is more aware of our rich fabrics and culture."
