Super 30 has to be one of the most talked about and controversial films of the year. This biopic on mathematician Anand Kumar has seen a struggle to get a release date for several reasons. With the initial release date set as January 25th, Super 30 had its first set back when director Vikas Bahl was accused by a former employee at Phanthom Films of sexual harassment and misconduct.

While the case was being investigated, the film went on into post-production without Vikas Bahl’s involvement. The film again had a setback when it was about to clash with Kangana Ranaut’s Jugdementall Hai Kya but Hrithik Roshan gracefully averted the clash and finalised the release date as July 12. This lead to the closing of the investigation on Vikas Bahl that gave him a clean chit and therefore giving him back his directorial credit in the film.
Now, with just one week to go, the actors are promoting the film in full swing. Actress Mrunal Thakur was questioned about Vikas Bahl’s involvement in the film, to which she very graceful answered, “I thought about it but I realised, ‘what’s the fault of the film?’ The story is so wonderful, I have seen everyone working hard, while we were filming, everything was OK. I didn’t want the film to be affected. I’m glad that after everything, things have been cleared and the film is releasing on July 12. Every film goes through ups and downs, I’m glad the film is getting what it deserves.”

Well, we’re all very excited to see this new talent make a mark on the big screen and have Hrithik Roshan spread some magic as Anand Kumar at the movies.
