She’s been of relevant influence on girls right from her size zero days to the way she carried of her pregnancy. But with the wake of social media and the evolving beauty standards, young girls are constantly misguided by what is real and struggle with body dysmorphia.
Talking about how social media effects young minds and what should be its relevance today, Kareena gave her take on this to Filmfare in an exclusive chat. The actress said, “It’s completely useless and insane. If you don’t love yourself, it’s the saddest thing ever. You cannot be dependent on the comments on social media to love yourself or feel loved. Instagram, Twitter and other social media should be viewed just as a form of entertainment. You can't live your life through them. I’d much rather read a book than be on social media during my down time. One should not forget to do that in the hustle and bustle of life.”
Kareena has time and again spoken about the repercussions of social media and how she likes to stay away from it. She is one of the very few celebrities who aren’t active on any social platform and still are the most talked about stars.
