Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next, Inshallah, has been in the news since its announcement and has especially left fans bemused by the unusual casting of Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles due to the age difference between the actors. Though Bhansali claimed from the very beginning that the age difference would be justified in the film, speculations arose that the duo will be playing siblings on screen.

Sources recently told a leading daily that while Salman will be playing a middle-aged businessman and Alia will play a young, aspiring actress, the film will also validate the age difference between the actors. According to the source, “Salman is a businessman in his mid-40s. The character is reminiscent of his turn in his 1997 romcom Jab Pyar Kisise Hota Hai. Alia plays a 20-something aspiring actress. All the factors, including the age gap, have been taken into consideration. The story will justify the teaming up of two actors, from different generations, on a romantic journey.”
As for the shooting locations of the film, it was further reported that Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Varanasi are being considered and for foreign locations, they’ll be heading to the US. We can't wait to watch this fresh casting on the big screen, what about you?
