Superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are one of the biggest stars in the country today. Other than being great actors, the two are known to share a very close bond and their friendship has seen its fair share of highs and lows, only bringing them closer. What came as an interesting insight recently was when Salman Khan revealed he once wanted to own SRK’s sea-facing bungalow – Mannat. It’s one of the most expensive properties owned by King Khan but it was Salman Khan’ dad Salim Khan who stopped him from doing so.
Salman revealed how Mannat could have been his bungalow but that couldn’t happen as dad Salim Khan asked him, “Itne bade ghar me karoge kya?”
Salman obviously took his father’s advice and the bungalow went to SRK.

Talking about Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan had earlier told a daily, “I am from Delhi and Delhiites have the concept of living in a kothi (bungalow). In Mumbai, the concept is to live in apartments, but in Delhi, even if one is not well off, they still own a small bungalow,”
Shah Rukh Khan further revealed, “When I came to Mumbai, I was already married and was living in a small apartment with my wife Gauri. My mother in-law would keep saying, 'You live in such a small house'. Eventually, when I saw Mannat, it felt like Delhi wali kothi and so I bought it and it has been the most expensive possession of my life,”
Hilariously, Salman even later mentioned that just like my dad, even I want to ask Shah Rukh, “Tu itne bade ghar mein karta kya hai?”
Well, we are super eager to know King Khan’s response to the same. What about you?
On the work front, Salman is currently gearing up for the release of his next – Bharat in which he will be seen opposite Katrina Kaif.
